Procera Gin
Procera is a Kenyan gin built around rare African juniper and the continent’s remarkable botanical diversity.
Procera is named after Juniperus Procera, the rare African juniper that defines its distinctive gin profile. Native to Kenya’s highland forests, this sun-grown juniper is the only species indigenous to the southern hemisphere. Handpicked by local communities and distilled fresh, its berries bringing earthy, nutty depth to every expression.
While most gin is made with dried juniper sourced far from the distillery, Procera works close to Kenya’s wild juniper forests. Freshly distilled berries preserve the plant’s terroir, delivering a vibrant, expressive character.
African juniper sits at the heart of every Procera gin, supported by botanicals chosen to reflect the continent’s diverse terroir. Ingredients are sourced with specialist growers from Morocco and the Indian Ocean islands to East and West Africa.
Together, they create layered gins with a strong sense of place.
Procera is distilled in a bespoke 230L Müller Aromat pot still, using the ‘pillowcase’ technique developed by late master distiller Roger Jorgensen. Botanicals are steeped at a gentle 40°C before distillation, helping preserve fresh aromas, a refined texture and a long finish.
Each bottle includes a botanical salt, blended from expression-specific ingredients and Indian Ocean sea salt from Zanzibar. It is designed to complement the gin and broaden the possibilities of every serve.
